Did you know that you can make a difference to the lives of others simply by planning a trip to The Gambia? Thanks to the Suitcase Action, anyone travelling in that direction has the opportunity to support local communities by taking donations collected by our Foundation with them in their suitcase!

How does the Suitcase Action work?

The plan of action is simple: every person from Poland who plans to fly to Gambia can donate part of their luggage to carry donations. All you have to do is contact us and we will provide you with parcels with educational materials for schools and children, safety reflectors or articles for animals, such as collars, flea prevention products and other necessary items. You can also prepare your own collection in consultation with us!

Once there, you will be met by our local Volunteers to jointly hand over the donations to the Gambian community. They go to where they are most needed at the moment – schools, clinics, day centres or veterinary surgeries.

Why is it worth it?

Every kilogram you take away is a real contribution. Thanks to your goodwill:

• children and young people in The Gambia can receive books, notebooks or crayons to enable them to learn and play in better conditions,
• veterinarians will gain support to treat animals in need and vaccinate, deworm or sterilise dogs, helping to improve their health and fight homelessness,
• local communities get the chance for a better future.

You don’t have to be an experienced volunteer – you just need to fly to The Gambia and want to do something good with us in the process.

What do we collect?

Our collection continues throughout the year, and we mostly need:

• educational materials (notebooks, crayons, backpacks, books, educational games),

• safety reflexes (for children and adults, improving road safety),

• pet supplies (reflective collars, flea repellents, disinfectant sprays, leashes).
